Patna: At least 14.18,925 Covid vaccine doses are given throughout the state until 9pm on Sundays in a special drive.
With this, Bihar has become the sixth country in the country to cross the sign of seven crore vaccines.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey said Bihar had reached the administration of the 7.06 Crore vaccine dose since the beginning of the trip in January this year.
“We have given 5 doses of crore vaccines in the past 15 weeks.
Under PM Leadership Narendra Modi and CM Nith Kumar guidance, vaccination drive has collected steps in the state,” Pandey said.
Nearly 5.07 crore populations above the age of 18 have been immunized in the country with at least one dose and 1.99 crore has been fully vaccinated.
Overcoming MediaPersons here, Pandey said the country had set a target to manage 8 doses of crore vaccines at the end of December.
“During a special vaccine drive on Sunday, 8,246 motorcycle vaccination teams were declared across the country to manage the vaccine by reaching their door.
A survey is being carried out to identify people who have not taken their vaccine doses,” he added.
The minister said arrangements have been made for covid tests and vaccinations in Chhath Ghats too.
According to the Ministry of Health data, 60.17% of people have been vaccinated in the age group 18-44 years, 22.76% in 45-59 years and 17.06% above 60 years.
Patna has provided a maximum dose of Covid-19 vaccine as far as 34,42,540 people have taken the first jab and 24.53,960 both doses in this district.
The Secretary of the Additional Chief (Health) Pratyaya Amrit said during a special vaccination trip on Sunday, a 108-year-old Devi Bedami, a resident of Kaji Bigha Village in Wazirganj in Nawada District, was also inoculated.
Amrit added a toll-free number will soon be issued for all districts so that people can get their vaccine jabs at home, especially old women, who are messy and pregnant.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Special Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Anesha ParaAshar, Executive Director of the Additional State Health Society, was also present at the press direction.
