Bihar: Police hold ‘Chaupal’ in Shohar against liquor

Patna: In an effort to create awareness among people about the Law of the ban, Sheohar police hold the village of ‘Chaupal’ under the Bhatahan Shyampam police station on Friday.
The participants, the majority of them became women from the economically underdeveloped parts of the community, praised the initiative and ensured cooperation to make a successful program.
Sheohar SP Sanjay Bharti told the newspaper by telephone on Saturday that his response was enthusiastically.
“The campaign will be intensified in the district after Panciran poll.
We will ensure to attend at least one program every week,” he said.
Initially, the campaign would be launched in the villages identified as a liquor hub and consumption.
“Our idea is to prevent consumption.
Supply will automatically decrease if there is no consumption (reading request),” he said.
“The family must suffer a lot after the arrest of members to violate the Law of the ban,” said the police team told people.
This initiative assumes the significance after the guidance of the chairman of Minister Nith Kumar on November 16 to intensify consciousness among people about the prohibition after Hooch’s death recently.
“We have decided to tie the newly chosen Perancrayat representatives to make a big successful campaign,” SP said.
Cong supports a review of a ban in the state: Head of State Congress Madan Mohan Jha said his party would be very thoughtful if CM Nith Kumar offered to eliminate the prohibition in the state.
“We are part of the government when the prohibition is introduced in the state,” he admitted.
“Humlog is extinct Vichar Karenge so that Sarkar is a ban on Kanoon Wapas Lena Chahti Hai (we will consider if the state government wants to attract ban law),” he added.
However, he rushed to add that Congress wanted a ban on prohibition to be implemented in letters and spirits.
Previously, the Legislative Party leader Congress Ajit Sharma said that if the state government found it difficult to implement the Law of Prohibition, it must allow the sale of liquor through licensed rates and at a higher level.
However, Congress Mla Shakil Ahmad Khan said he did not agree with Sharma about this problem.
