Patna: Because of the lack of health infrastructure in the country exposed during the second wave of Covid-19, the government established oxygen plants, increasing the number of beds in hospitals and taking various other initiatives to overcome the next wave, if it comes at all.
Source said the meeting was held by the Ministry of Health on Saturday to write plans as a way to use funds allocated by the center and its own shares.
Among various projects to strengthen health infrastructure, five health and fitness centers together with additional primary health centers in each assembly constituency already exist on the card.
Ministry of Health Special Secretary Manoj Kumar said supply has begun and the RS75 Lakh will be issued on the construction of a health and health center.
“This will have two ANMS and one public health worker,” Manoj said.
Apart from the construction of hospitals and health institutions, the Ministry of Health also focuses on training in health workers, especially to manage serious Covid-19 patients and use ventilators.
So far 165 doctors and nurses have provided training at AIIMS-Patna.
Training will continue until July 27 for doctors and nurses to deal with severe patients in the ICU and how to use ventilators.
AIIMS-Patna Nodal Officer is responsible for Covid-19, Dr.
Sanjeev Kumar, said some health workers do not know how to use ventilators.
“We also choose four to five health care workers in each batch as a coach, which will then show the method of using ventilators to other health workers in their district,” said Dr.
Sanjeev.
