PATNA: Over 7 lakh people were inoculated in Bihar on Monday.
This is the highest single-day number of jabs administered in the state so far.
It was also among the top five states in India with the highest number of Covid-19 vaccine doses.
The figures shared by the state health department on Tuesday stated that altogether 7,29,332 beneficiaries were inoculated on Monday, which included 7,02,501, who got their first shot, and 26,832, who received their second shot.
The maximum number of beneficiaries were in the age group of 18 to 44 years.
As many as 1.23 crore people have got their first dose and 22.33 lakh their second dose in Bihar.
Meanwhile, 268 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state on Tuesday.
During the same period, 468 patients recovered from the disease, taking the number of active cases to 2,810.
Six deaths were also reported.
