Patna: The State President of RJD Jagadand Singh on Monday said tight action would be brought to any party workers who were caught consuming liquor.
“Our party’s constitution is very clear.
According to him, there are no members who consume liquor.
If there are people who are caught consuming liquor, tight action will be taken at the party level,” Singh told MediodPersons here.
Asked about the police entering the bride room at the hotel on the occasion of his marriage, Singh said it was done “on behalf of the enforcement of a failed ban in the state because the liquor mafia was not captured intentionally”.
Singh said the parallel economy worth the annual turnover of Rs 20,000 Crore has developed in the state.
“Their fear is that if the mafia element was arrested, it would boomerang to the government itself,” Singh added.
Rabri hit the police to enter the Bridal Hotel room: Former Cm Rabri Devi on Monday criticized the police to enter the bridal room in a hotel on Patna.
“This is similar to a violation of the right to privacy.
Instead of investigating how and why liquor was brought to the country, the police harassed women.
What should people do – regulate the function of marriage or not? Time has come for people to fight the dictator’s dictatorship attitude Government, “he added.
