Patna: RJD workers will hold Dharna in all district headquarters on Saturday to mark the mandal diwas.
They will also demand a caste-based census, filling backlog vacancies for the categories ordered and implementing all recommendations for the Mandal Commission.
Party members will march into collectors in their respective districts and submit memorandum to district judges with their requests to be sent to the Prime Minister.
At Patna, March this protest will be led by opposition leaders in the State Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, from the RJD headquarters in the Beelchand Patel Line.
State spokesman RJD Chitranjan Gagan said party members also ordinary people will participate in the march protest for the rights of protected people.
“We will continue our request for the caste census, namely to provide the right benefits for people who are included in the category ordered.
Our party president then Prasad Ji has raised this issue in parliament in 2010 and has also lead massive protests at Patna, “Gagan said, attacking BJP to create obstacles and not let it happen.
“When a memorandum for Caste Census was being ratified in the Bihar Council, BJP Mlaas had given their approval.
Even Rajnath Singh had promised that the caste census would be carried out in 2021.
But now they took U-turn.
BJP has exposed a double face and how it is guided By RSS, who opposed the anti-backward reservation and caste and caste people were very backward, “Gagan added.
Speaking of preparations for Saturday’s protest, another RJD spokesman Mritunjay Tiwari said that regardless of the district headquarters, party members would raise their demand even at the block level.
“It will be a massive protest,” he said.
RJD seems to be more active with party members hit the road against the government at the center and in the state.
In July, RJD had protested for two days with increasing inflation and price increases.
