Patna: Rozina Nazhish from JD (U) was declared ‘elected undeniable’ on Monday for the Bihar legislative council seat.
“Monday is the last date for the withdrawal of nominations for the election of the council.
When Rozina did not attract her nomination until 3pm, she was declared ‘chosen’ to fill the vacancy caused by the death of akhtar tanweer,” Commissioner Division Cum-Patna-Cum-Patna Sanjay Kumar Agarwal to Toi.
Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad (representing BJP), Minister of Education Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Minister of Rural Development Shrawan Kumar, Minister of Construction of Ashok Choudhary Building from JD (U), Minister of Animal Husbandry and Mukesh Sahani Fisheries Resources (VIP) and several other NDA leaders were present at The Hall of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha Library where Nazhish received a certificate.

With the selection of Nazish, the number of MLC JD (U) in the 75 member legislative council increased to 23, eight more than the BJP allies, which had 15 members.

Among Mahagathbandhan partners, RJD has five members, three Congress and CPI two.
Sarvesh Kumar, who was elected from the constituency of Postgraduate Darbhanga, was the only independent MLC.
