Bihar takes place between 13 states in Swachh Survekshan ’21

Patna: Bihar continues “poor” performance in terms of urban sanitation in Swachh Survekshan 2021, the results announced by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Saturday.
While Bihar is below the list of 13 countries with more than 100 urban local agencies (ULBs), Jharkhand neighbors are awarded because they are at the top of 14 states have less than 100 ULB.

Patna scored 2739.92 from 6,000 marks in a survey, which was 1187 points higher than the previous year’s score of 1,552.
Although the total value under Swachh Survekshan remains the same, the number of evaluation categories reduced from four years ago to three times.
Cities are evaluated under four direct observations, citizen feedback, service level progress and certification – last year.
Each category carries 1,500 marks.
This year is converted into three categories – Citizens Voice (1,800 Marks), certification (1,800 marks) and service level progress (2,400 marks).
As per the statement issued by Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), Patna secured the highest sign in the category of residents’ voices.
Country capital gets 1,341 of 1,800 values ​​and securing ranks 174 among 4,320 cities in this category.
Overall 4,77,849 people in this country have participated in the survey of sanitation in each ULB, including 2,01,662 in Patna.
In the category of ‘service level progress’, the patna mark increased from 105.16 at 2020 to 1,098 this time.
Patna, in fact, gets the highest score in this category.
Patna’s performance also improved in the ‘certification’ category.
From Nil last year, get 300 signs this year in this category because it has been given ODF (free defecation) – plus certificates.
Patna Mayor Sita Sahu said the Civic body has shown an increase by introducing various new sanitation activities, including eliminating waste from all 75 wards, construction of compost holes and mass awareness drives.
“While PMC is trying to develop infrastructure needed to improve sanitation scenarios in the city, residents must also instill clean habits in their daily lives,” he said.
Commissioner of Kota Patna Himanshu Sharma also seek cooperation from all the population of state capital to make city cleaners.
