Bihar: The case of viral fever rises between children

Patna: Among the Covid-19 pandemic, the case of virus fever among children rose in Bihar and many patients had been hospitalized.
A warning of unnecessary panic, a doctor related to the main facility managed by the government has convinced people that there is no shortage of infrastructure today.
Symptoms of Covid-19 have not been seen among children who are treated for viral fever, they said.
On Patna, the four main hospitals – all Indian Medical Institutes, Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) and Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical – full of children suffering from viral fever.
Speaking with PTI, Dr.
N R Biswas, Director and Deputy Chancellor, Indira Medical Institute (Igims-Patna), said the surge in viral fever cases among children has been reported in several hospitals in the state capital.
The number of children affected by viral fever also rose in other districts, including Muzaffarpur, said Dr.
Biswas.
“But no one panicked.
This is a seasonal fever that happens every year.
We take all possible steps to handle the situation.” At present, there is no shortage of beds in IGIM, and we have enough oxygen cylinders for children, “He said.
The state government has been vigilant and until now, the situation is completely under control, said Dr.
Biswas.” We are enough to hope that the number of cases of virus fever among children will soon begin to decrease, “he said.
However, some doctors at IGIMS believe that if the trend continues, it can cause a shortage of beds in the pediatric ward, said the senior doctor.
According to the Ministry of Health, there is a supply of 70 beds in Bhagalpur Medical College and hospitals, and currently 53 children are being treated there .
Patients from Muzaffarpur, Sitaminhi, Siwan, Chapra, Gopalganj, West Champaran and the East Champaran are undergoing treatment at the facility.
In the Gopalganj District, one The child died of a viral fever last week after the district administration canceled leaves all doctors and medical staff.
In Hajipur from the Vaishali district, around 20 children fell ill last week, where someone died.
At present, seven children are treated in the Special Ward Hajipur Hospital.

Is Thakur, Medical Inspector PMCH, told PTI, “At present, there is no shortage of beds in the children’s ward from PMCH.
There is no doubt that a sudden increase in the number of virus fever, especially among children, is a matter of worries , but we are fully ready to handle the situation “.
