PATNA: In a major initiative to protect people from infection Covid by increasing their immunity, the state health department the possibility to distribute more than one lakh packets of ‘kadha’ Ayurvedic (herbal mixture) free of charge.
Dr Anand Bhushan Ayush Chaudhary Public Affairs told this newspaper that the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Patna are preparing a ‘kadha’ of medicinal plants in the laboratory of pharmacology and the packet will be given to the immediate need.
He said that even during the second wave of the pandemic, the package is distributed among Covid 19 patients and the general public.
Hospital deputy superintendent Dhananjay Sharma said ‘kadha’ has been found to be highly effective against Covid-19.
It is being produced in the hospital in accordance with ministry guidelines Ayush.
After a sufficient amount of the package is ready, the same will be supplied to each Ayurvedic health centers and hospitals in the state for distribution among the people.
It ‘kadha’ boost immunity and protect people from all kinds of infections, he said.
Dr Gangadhar Singh of the Government Ayurvedic College, Patna, said drugs such as Ayush 64, which was launched by the Ministry of Ayush years ago, has been used in the centers of ayurveda different countries and beyond and their effectiveness in curing malaria and Covid-19 has already been proven.
Covid positive has turned negative only after several days of this administration.
Both drugs are preventive as well as curative and they also help in reducing the complications of post-Covid.
Haldi Aswagandha and milk-mix has been found to be very effective in curing of Covid-19 and also to build up immunity.
Steam inhalation regularly also helps both patients Covid and ordinary people with no symptoms, he said.
Head of the Government Ayurvedic Hospital High Darbhanga, Dr Dineshwar Prasad, said the use of Ayush kadha, chhurna shitopaladi and nose Anu oil dropped help people who are suffering from the common cold as well as Covid-19.
Ayush drug is 100 percent effective against Covid-19 and they do not have such side effects.
Ironically, people even take allopathic medicines taking ayurvedic ‘kadhas’ on a regular basis to improve their immune response to Covid-19, he said.
