Bihar to spend RS 3,959 Crore to improve Infra Health

Patna: Minister of Health Mangal Pandey said in the State Assembly on Thursday that the government would spend RS 3,959 Crore in 243 assembly constituents at the level of RS 16.29 Crore per constituency for the next two years to improve health infrastructure.
He added a department fully directed at meeting the challenges posed by the possibility of the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
“The state government managed to control the transmission of Covid-19 pandemic under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and CM Nith Kumar.
The state government is well regulated to fight the third wave of pandemics too,” Pandey said.
He added several factories established to produce medical oxygen for hospitals and other health centers will be ready on August 31.
“At least 524 ambulanings are equipped with a life support system before being purchased with RS 524 Crore expenditure.
It will end with the available ambulance,” added Pandey.
He also presents details on the ongoing project in various medical college hospitals and Indira Gandhi Medical Institute (IGIM) and Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) to improve health infrastructure in the state.
It also includes the Purnia Medical College and hospital.
“While the construction of 11 medical colleges and hospitals is underway, the government has sought permission from the center to enable additional seats for MBBS and undergraduate programs,” Minister said.
To improve health infrastructure in 243 assembly constituencies, Pandey said Rs 3,959 Crore will be spent to open health centers, improve and strengthen existing primary health centers and open 122 public health centers.
Pandey gave details while giving a government reply to a home debate at the request of the first additional budget Rs 3,673-Crore from the Ministry of Health relating to the current fiscal.
The additional budget demanded by Pandey above and for the budget allocation that has been made for the Ministry of Health in the 2.18-Crore Rsual State Budget takes place in March this year.
The cut movement against additional requests from the Ministry of Health was transferred by members of Congress Vijay Shankar Dubey.
The demand for additional budgets from the Ministry of Health is part of the first additional budget that is slightly more than the RS 27,050-Crore which is sued by the CM Tarkishore Prasad representative, which is also the Minister of Finance, for the current fiscal.
The house passed the first additional budget with a voice sound.
The opposition five parties consisting of RJD, Congress, CPI (ML), CPI members and CPM walked out of the house during government answers were given earlier by Pandey to debate about the request of the Ministry of Health.
Participating in the debate of the house, members of the opposition party showed that the Ministry of Health failed to meet the challenges caused by the first and second waves of the Coronavirus pandemic.
During the second wave of pandemic, the patient had died of lack of medical oxygen, they accused.
