Bihar workers are afraid to attack in Kashmir, go home

Patna: People from Bihar working in Jammu & Kashmir as workers began to reach home after militants began targeting and killing non-local residents in the union area.
At least five people from Bihar have been killed by terrorists in J & K in the last 15 days.
MD Anamul Haq of Block Forbesganj in Arariah Regency thanked the Almighty after safely descending from Jammu Tawi-Rajendra Nagar Archana Express at Patna Junction Monday night.
He was accompanied by his wife Rubiya and Daughters Sabina and Ayesha.
Anamul left Kashmir on Saturday, as soon as he learned about the murder of Arvind Kumar’s valid from Banka in the Lal Bazaar area in J & K on October 13.
“There is no scarcity in J & K.
But terrorist attacks on non-local residents have created panic among members of the Bihari Workers’ family, who have suppressed their relatives to return home,” Anamul said while leaving for his home city by bus on Tuesday .
Anamul works as a carpenter in Lara Ganjipora in the Kashmir Kulgam area.
He said the last two months proved nightmares for him and other workers from Bihar.
“The worst came on October 13 when the ‘Panpuri’ vendor was shot by militants,” he added.
One Abhay Kumar from Saharsa said he was not interested in emptying his rented accommodation, but the situation worsened in J & K forced him to return.
“No one will put someone’s life in danger.
Likewise with me.
I went there to find a livelihood.
My income is enough to run a family of five.
But a detrimental situation forces me to go home.
Now I will look for several opportunities Here to survive, “he said.
The stories of MD Zafar Alam, Raheesh and Murtaza from Madhepura District are no different.
They all reached Patna Junction around 9pm on Monday.
They said the situation had worsened in the past two months.
Sagir Ahmed, who works in a cricket bat manufacturing company, says people are afraid to move after dusk.
“Ghar Se Bahar Jane Mein Dar Lagta Tha (I’m afraid to move from home),” he said.
“People migrate to other states of Bihar to look for job opportunities.
Why will people move, if the same thing is provided by the government in our home country,” Sagir regretted.
