PATNA: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday assessed progress of different projects being implemented under the state administration’s tough Rs 24,524-crore’Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan (JJHA)’ and asked the officials concerned to complete the functions with complete diligence.
Chairing an interview, that was attended by the two deputy CMs Tarkishore Prasad along with Renu Devi in addition to both the ministers and senior bureaucrats of departments involved, the CM asked the officers to perform reviews and analysis on a regular basis to make sure the functions taken up under the JJHA are finished at a quicker speed.
The JJHA was started by Nitish to the event of’Bihar Prithvi Diwas’ on August 9, 2019.
The state government had decided to apply it into a mission style.
Afterwards, the state cabinet had accepted Rs 24,524 crore for execution of this effort in three fiscal years (2019-20 into 2021-22).
Speaking in the meeting, Nitish reported the JJHA was being heralded in world level.
“After Bill Gates had came at Patna, we held talks over the effort.
Gates had recognized the effort after coming from Bihar.
The Abhiyan was lauded at the United Nations,” he explained.
Nitish reported the green cap of Bihar has been decreased to 9 percent following bifurcation of the nation at November 2020.
“We started Hariyali Mission and chose to plant 24 crore saplings from the forthcoming years with a goal to improve our nation’s green cover region.
A total of 22 crore saplings have been implanted and the nation’s green cap has increased to greater than 15 percent.
We’ve got a goal of raising the green cover over 17 percent and for this we’re putting more saplings throughout the nation,” the CM said.
He asked the officers to inspire and educate individuals for creation and application of solar power in addition to saving traditional energy.
The CM also requested that the energy division officials to set up solar panels in the structures of colleges, older schools and newly-built associations to create maximum renewable energy at the nation.
“All concerned departments need to have a combined meeting and prepare a work program for the installation of solar energy panels over the government-owned buildings,” Nitish stated.
In addition, he asked the officers concerned to produce all people hand pumps practical and assemble soak-pits close to the remodeled structures and hand pumps.
