NOIDA: A city-based realtor has alleged that an imported pistol and Rs 5 lakh cash were allegedly stolen by miscreants from his Hyundai Creta in the Phase II area of central Noida.
In his complaint, Balvir Singh Narwal, a resident of Sector 47, claimed that two bike-borne miscreants broke the SUV window panes and took away the Llama-manufactured 380 German pistol worth around Rs 10 lakh, some Rs 5 lakh cash and some documents on Tuesday.
The alleged crime occurred near a plot in Sector 136, where Narwal had gone to oversee construction.
“Around 3.45pm, I saw that someone had broken the SUV’s window on the right side and a bag containing the pistol, money, cheque book and some documents was missing.
Some labourers working at the spot told me that they had seen two persons near my car before they sped away towards Advant building,” Narwal said.
His son Vikash Narwal told TOI that the accused were either both men or could even be a male and a female, as described to them by the labourers.
“When we went to the police station, the local cops told us that it was sheer negligence on our part and that we had increased their work,” he said.
DCP (central Noida) Harish Chander said in a statement that an FIR has been lodged in the case under the Indian Penal Code sections 379 (theft) and 427 (mischief).
