Jaisalmer: Three years after Biker International Ashtray Mon (34) died during the Baja Motorsports Rally Dakar Challenge in Jaisalmer, two MON friends were arrested from Bengaluru on Monday for planning his murder with his wife.
Monday, the native of Kannur Kerala who lives in RT Nagar Bengaluru, was originally believed to have died because of natural causes.
Allegedly he lost his way in Jaisalmer’s desert during the practice of running and died of dehydration or thirsty.
The police started an investigation after the biker’s brother and mother cried, allapsing that Mon was killed.
Jaisalmer SP Ajay Singh said Mon came to Jaisalmer to rally together with his wife Sumera Parvez and five friends Sanjay, Vishwas, Neeraj, Sabik and Santosh.
On August 15, 2018, they all saw the trajectory and went up the next day, and finally lost their way.
The others returned except Monday, which was later found dead in the area without network coverage.
Autopsy reveals a back injury.
In addition, Sumera did not show suspicion of death and its police to submit a final report in this case, SP said.
However, after studying the final report, SP Singh said he found the role of Sumera and Sanjay suspicious.
After a thorough investigation, Sleuth concluded that Biker had been killed after careful planning and registered a case against five friends of Sumera and Mon.
The police said Mon had many disputes with his wife on several problems.
He used to live in Dubai before shifting to Bengaluru.
On the day of the murder, Sanjay was the first to reach the place and took mon and other monkeys, SP was added.
After getting evidence of murder, the arrest warriors were released against Sanjay and others.
Investigative officers went to Bengaluru and Kerala to look for the defendant, who went underground.
Then, another police team went to Bengaluru, arrested Sanjay and Vishwas and brought them to Jaisalmer.
The duo was sent to detention.
