Bill fisheries a gift for fishermen: Lurugan

Tirunelveli: Indian sea fisheries Bill 2021 will be a gift for fishermen because they will protect their rights, Union State Minister for Fisheries, Livestock, and Milk Preparation and Information and Broadcasting Lurugan on Friday.
This statement occurred in the midst of strong protests performed by fishermen from Tamil Nadu Beach Regency for the past few weeks, citing aspects of the bill which would affect their livelihood after being applied.
Interacting with reporters in Tirunelveli, Minister of Union said that information was wrongly distributed among coastal populations in connection with the bill with the intention of tarnishing the image of the government union government.
He added that BJP Cadre would eliminate all misunderstandings in this matter.
Murugan said that the bill was being discussed at various levels with fishermen and other stakeholders in this sector before being submitted before parliamentary homes.
Ensuring the center was for fishermen’s welfare, he remembered that RS 20,000 Crore was allocated by the BJP government to benefit the coastal population through various schemes during this financial year.
The minister said the steps would be taken to build multi-day multi-day fishing vessels under the 70% subsidy scheme (RS 56 Lakh of the total cost of 80 lakh Rs) in Tamil Nadu.
Fishermen switched from the trawl to the ship as it was under the scheme now depending on the ship’s yard in Kochi and Puducherry to build a boat.
The Ministry of Union will take the steps needed to create such infrastructure in the state, he added.
Murugan did not respond to the questions raised by journalists about the delay in the trade union government in receiving the appeal to rent the vaccine complex integrated in Chengalpet to the Government of Tamil Nadu to produce Covid-19 vaccine.
