Birhor Girl first student from the community at Jharkhand’s Ramgarh to pass the 12th class council exam

Ranchi: Rashmi, a member of the Birhor in the verge of extinction, has become the first student of the community in Jharkhand Ramgarh Regency to pass a higher middle examination, a senior district official said.
Rashmi Birhor is the first generation of families in Birhor Teach in West Bokaro, who fell under Ramgarh Regency, to go to school and clear the examination of the 12th class council in the second division, said Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra.

The girl had passed the examination of the class of her class two years ago under the ‘Project Aaxisha’, supported by the Tata Steel Foundation.
This project, which was initiated in 2012, aimed to bring positive changes in the lives of the vulnerable tribal community in this country by supporting the education of children from these communities, especially girls, statements issued by the Steel Foundation.

Rashmi said his parents wanted him to continue moving forward, and never felt himself in an unfavorable position.
He intended to pursue a Diploma course after consulting with his teacher and mentor at the Steel Foundation.
“The Aakansha project has had an impact on some life since then and has 220 Birhor children listed under this project which is supported academically and advises to impose learning they receive through formal education,” said the statement.
Earlier this month, a 16-year-old girl from the same tribe in the Hazaribagh district has passed the matriculation exam.
