Bishwamitra among four Indians to enter semifi in Asia Youth and Junior

New Delhi: Bishwamitra Chongtham India (51kg) Sailed to the semifinals along with three compatriots, convinced themselves from at least a bronze medal in the ASBC Youth and Junior Boxing Championship in Dubai on Sunday.
Bishwamitra, the world youth championship bronze medal, proved too strong for Kenzhe Muratul Kazakhstan when he showed fast movements and technical skills to secure an easy 5-0 victory.
Abhimanyu Loura (92kg), Deepak (75kg) and Preeti (57kg) are other Indians to reach the semifinals.
In the quarter-finals of the middle class, Deepak, opposed Dhurgham Karim Iraq, dominating the trial from the word Go.
He landed a busy blow to his opponent in the third round, forcing the referee to stop the contest.
Abhimanyu national champion from Haryana also moved to the last four after defeating Sanjar Tenibekov Kyrgyzstan in unilateral affairs.
Indian Lanky was declared a winner with the referee to stop the contest (RSC) in the second round of the battle.
In part of the woman, Preeti advanced to the semifinals after surpassing Tugsjargal Mongolia nomin with a victory through the RSC sentence in the second round of the match.
On the other hand, Aditya Jilghu (86kg) was an Indian who was alone to suffer the defeat on the second day when he lost to Temran Mukataayev Kazakhstan in the quarter-finals.
On the third day, six Indian boxers will be seen in action.
Krish Pal (46kg), Ashish (54kg), Anshul (57kg), Preet Malik (63kg) and Bharat Joon (81 + kg) will play each quarter-final, while Gaurav Saini (70kg) will fight in the semifinals.
The ongoing Asian championship will provide a competitive tournament that is very much needed for promising young talents at the Asian level after the gap of almost two years is lost due to a pandemic.
The gold medalion in a young age group will receive a prize of money of USD 6,000 while silver and bronze forecasters will claim each USD 3,000 and USD 1,500.
However, junior champions will be given by USD 4,000 and USD 2,000 and 1,000 for the silver and bronze medalist.
