Bishwamitra Chongtham, Vishal Clinch Gold in Asian Youth Boxing

New Delhi: World Youth Bronze-Medalist Bishwamitra Chongtham (51kg) and Vishal (80kg) hit gold, while five other Indian boxers signed with a silver medal at the Asian Youth Championship in Dubai on Monday.
Chongtham beat Uzbekistan Kuziboev Ahmadjon 4-1, updating a rigid challenge.
Vishal, on the other hand, punched Akmatov Sanzhar Kyrgyzstan 5-0 to finish above.
However, Vishvanath Suresh (48kg), Vanshaj (63.5kg) and Jaydeep took care (71kg) ended with a silver medal.
Suresh lost 0-5 to rule the world champion of the Youth of Sanzar Tashkenbay from Kazakhstan.
VanShaj was also beaten 0-5 by Yaver Suyunbay from Kazakhstan in his summit match.
Rawat did not finish his fight against Uzbek Abdullaev Alokhon, who beat leaving India seen shaken and most were not balanced in the opening round itself.
In the women’s competition, Nivedita (48kg) ended with a silver medal after losing to Farzona Fozilova Uzbekistan.
Tamanna (50kg) also ended second after losing to other Uzbek at Sabina Bobokulava in his final battle.

Rudrika (70kg) fell 1-4 against Uzbek Oysha Toirova and Sanjana (81kg) suffered a loss 0-5 against Umit Kazakhstan Abilkaiyr.
Aanchal Saini (57kg) also fell 0-5 against Ulzhan Sarsenbek Kazakhstan to end with a silver medal.
Six Indian bronze medals came after the Ghorpade Devika (50kg), Aarzoo (54kg) and Supriya treated (66kg) lost in the semi-final girl while Ashish (54kg), Anshul (57kg) and Ankush (66kg) out of the last boy -Four stage.
In the last Asian junior championship held in 2019 in Fujairah, UAE, India has been third with 21 medals (six gold, nine bronze and six bronze).
In the ongoing edition, the gold medalist in the Junior category was given with $ 4,000 while $ 2,000 and 1,000 were given to the winner of the silver and bronze medal.
