Sindri: The Sindri Bit Teacher Association has decided to oppose every step of the State and Technical Ministry of Higher Education to provide academic autonomy to the Institute.
Bit Sindri ‘Secretary Association (Bitsta) Secretary Professor Amar Prakash Sinha said: “Some people who manage the affairs of this institution conspire to eliminate poor tribal students in receiving technical education at affordable costs just to fulfill their own interests just to meet their own interests.
They want to change a very large character in the field of government engineering which is alone in this state.
“” After obtaining autonomous status, the Institute administration will be free to change the cost structure of the institute known to provide engineering education at a low cost throughout the country, “he added.
Sinha claimed that the Director of the Institute who distributed notices on August 10 which stated that the team of Senior Faculty of IIT Kanpur would visit the Institute on August 13 and all heads were invited to attend meetings with their respective vision plans.
“The notice does not mention that the Secretary and Director of the Department (Technical Education) will also attend a meeting.
We came to find out from the newspaper the following day that the meeting was held to decide on the modality of administration of autonomy to the institution,” he added.
Sinha claims that Bihar has opened 34 new government technical colleges after the formation of Jharkhand.
“On the contrary, the Sindri bit is the only Jharkhand government engineering school but certain officials try to privatize the name of autonomy by keeping teachers, staff and students in the dark,” he thought.
The association has also searched for the intervention of the minister of chairmanship in this matter.
