Bhubaneswar: BJD on Sunday repeated his request to continue the female reservation bill during the Monsoon Parliament session starting from Monday.
The bill will order 33% of seats in parliament and the State Assembly for women.
At the meeting of all parties chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the leaders of the BJD floor – Prasana Acharya (Rajya Sabha) and Pinaki Mishra (Lok Sabha) – also demanded that the Odisha Vidhan Parisad bill be submitted during the session.
“Because these two bills are not in the tentative list of bills planning for tables during the upcoming session, we demand to register these two bills,” Mishra said.
Towards the 2019 General Election, BJD has reached 22 political parties to build consensus on the journey of female reservation bills.
The Trinamool Congress also demanded the bill in the Monsun session.
Declare that some communities in the state are waiting for the scheduled tribe (ST) tag, BJD also demands that the center must immediately display the constitutional sequence (amendment) in the upcoming session.
The party also decided to increase problems such as raising rice by the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and releasing subsidies for the procurement of rice around Rs 6,500 Crore to the center.
The party recently targeted the center not to release the amount of subsidies and non-lifting rice from the country.
“We also demanded that the center must share several Cess amounts collected by it from gasoline and diesel which will help countries get financially and strengthen the fight against Covid-19,” Mishra said.
Previously, Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik had written to the Minister of Finance Union Nirmala Sitharaman in this matter.
Among other things, BJD has decided to raise problems such as more grants to the state under the railroad sector and quick implementation of various train projects in the state delayed for years and to increase telephoto density in the state.
On important national problems, the party said it would make it clear on the floor of the house.
