BJP Abstain from Obituated Reference on Day 1 Monsoon Session

Written by news2in

Ranchi: BJP opposition, in irregularities from the official protocol, did not participate in the reference to Obituari on the first day of the Monsun session which began on Friday.
Non-BJP participation in this event was the first by the opposition party in the history of the Jharkhand Assembly.
The list of people limited by the house is also the mostover with more than three dozen names of leading people from the socio-political field, hundreds of health workers and police, all who have died of viruses and victims of Cloudburst Chamoli.
They died during the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic since the end of the budget session in March this year.
As a member of the house gathered, the Head of BJP Whip Biranchi Narayan began reading obituari comments as he had done during the previous session.
He, however, was stopped by his party colleagues who demanded that Babulal Marandi be allowed to read them when the party had chosen him as the leader of their legislative party, which must automatically be opposition leader at home.
Interrupting Narayan, BJP Legislator Bhanu Pratap Shahi raised the slogan against Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto asked him to recognize Marandi as opposition leader.
He immediately joined the other BJP MLA, but Mahto remained unaffected.
Speaking with media people later, Narayan accused the government not to respect the legislative process.
“When we chose Babulal Ji as the leader of the legislative party, he had to be called by the speaker as an opposition leader because we were the biggest opposition party to read obituaria comments.
But he called the party head whip,” Narayan said.
He added, “We have been waiting for a speaker to recognize Babulal Ji but now the high time that all the legislative responsibilities like that, are expected from the opposition leader, must be done by him (Marandi).” However, the two ruling parties and other opposition criticized BJP for how it took protests.
The speaker said, “This (Obituated Reference) must be kept outside small politics.
Today, we pay tribute to dead souls, tomorrow, other people will read the news of death for us,” Mahto said.
BJP ally, the President of the Party of Ajsu Sudesh Mahto supported the Safron Party for raising Marandi’s problem but said the protest was not on time.
“We all have the whole session to reveal our complaints and place the ruling party on the dock by raising questions but the commotion during the movement of the condolences can be avoided,” he said.
Meanwhile, speakers named Former Minister of Kalyan Singh, Simon Maranda Legislator, Laxman Bhagat, Laxman Gilua, Rajendra Singh Munda, Wisnu Bhaia, Duti Pahan, Niel Tirkey, Sportsperson Milkha Singh, Actor Dilip Kumar, developed the Goldday of Ram Gonjhu and several others in the obituary .
He also prayed for eternal peace for those who died in Chamoli Cloudburst and mentioned the front line of Covid Warriors, including 17 journalists and 28 police from countries that lost their lives.
The Chairperson of the Minister of Hemant Soren and the leaders of the Legislative Party also read out their obituitary comments.
Vinod Singh from the CPIML urged the government to regulate compensation to the dependents of the frontline fighters who died during the pandemic and said such steps would be a real award to the department’s soul.
MLA Independent Mla Saryhu Rai said this is a list of the longest people who died within five months of the conclusion of the last session.
“It was painful and unfortunate that we had lost almost three dozen political leaders and some prominent people during a pandemic.
We hope all strength to their family members,” he added.
