Bhubaneswar: BJP on Sunday alleged that there was a deviation in the selection roll prepared for the election of Panchayat in the state and urged the State Election Commission (SEC) to issue clarification in this matter.
Overcoming Medoderpon Here, Secretary General of BJP Golak Mohapatra said, “The draft list of voters has not been published in most districts.
This is released from the previous state government announcing that it will do it.
Officials in blocks and the district level cannot give us a list of voters even After a repeat request.
Except Jajpur, no other district works with us in getting a list.
“More Mohapatra said there were several errors in the publication process and preparation of voter lists.
“If the block administration or district level does not publish a draft list, how can we send our complaints about errors in the selection roll? This is very unfortunate,” he added.
Secretary General of BJP said the last voter list must have been published on December 14 last year, but cannot meet deadlines.
After the preparation ended, two copies of the draft voter list should be sent to political parties such as BJP.
When asked, district level officials said they did not receive instructions on sharing the draft voter list with political parties.
“We have caught seconds for this problem,” said Mohapatra.
He further said they had somehow managed to get the Jajpur District Voters List.
“The names of around 80 voters are not on the list of Panchayat wards in the district.
This is only an anomaly sample in preparing the voter list in the state.
A official from the Bhadrak District said the voter list would be given after the issuance of notification.
Seconds must clarify about this problem.”
