Bhubaneswar: BJP and Congress on Wednesday questioned the silence of the head of Naveen Patnaik about the murder of Mamita Meer’s rural teacher, raising a question mark if he was issued for those who had access to him.
Overcoming news conferences, BJP President Samir Mohanty remembered how Naveen was used to dismiss the minister for the slightest corruption and mistakes even in previous terms.
But this time his indifference was surprising, Samir stated.
The BJP leader said that when the state minister was distributed by Shankar Mishra with the murder of the defendant Gobinda Sahu widely known, the Minister of Law Pratap Jena was crowned as accused of a double murder case in January.
“Naveen seems to oversee serious crimes.
We know the style of work since our party shares power with him for nine years.
He might not have been told,” Samir said quoting it as an excuse behind their ministers who continued.
BJP was in the coalition government with BJD from 2000 to 20009.
The spokesman for Congress Padmakar Teacher also questioned Naveen’s silence.
“While the minister’s chairman has not said a word in the recent killings.
Shankar Mishra continues to remain at the council.
This is a very strange situation,” he said.
Naveen is known for bringing down the minister in any small provocation.
In his last term he had to bring down the Minister of Health, Nayak for the fire of the hospital in 2016 and then the Minister of Agriculture Damodar Rout for Casteist’s statement in 2017.
Recently, Pradeep Maharathy was late having to resign in January 2019 because of his controversial statement about his release of Gangrape and the murder of the defendant.
However, in terms now, there is no resignation like that.
BJD claims its rivals, parties try to defame the government even when the probe is on the right track.
“Opposition is trying to use sensitive problems to slander the government.
The Government of Naveen Patnaik has not tolerated any illegality in the past and will not tolerate this time.
People who are guilty will be punished according to the law,” said Mla Latika Pradhan.
BJP and Congress protested in various parts of the country for the 10th day in a row, suppressing the resignation of the Minister of Junior’s minister.
