Madurai: The ‘Modi Pongal’ event which is planned to be held in Madurai on January 12 by BJP has been canceled considering the new Covid-19 restrictions announced by the Tamil Nadu government, K Annamalai Party President said on Thursday.
However, the participation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an event in Virudhunagar where he is scheduled to inaugurate medical colleges will be decided by the government, Annamalai told reporters.
