Guwahati: BJP in power in Assam has collected more than Rs 10 Crore during a 45-day donation campaign – Sahyog Nidhi Abhiyan – from more than 40 lakh party workers and sympathizers, said source.
The drive starts on January 1 and concluded on February 15.
This campaign was launched by BJP who was seeking intentional donations from good party workers and sympathizers across the state.
This initiative was taken to raise party funds and thus strengthen its finances.
Massam CM Himanta Buswa Sarma, while announcing a campaign in December last year, has urged party workers to double their BJP in strengthening BJP.
Overcoming the BJP Organization Meeting in December here, CM has said that the party needs to establish his own office in every electoral district in the state and for it must be independent in terms of finance.
CM has added that this initiative will not only strengthen party finances but will also produce results for BJP in the next city selection scheduled for next February next year.
