“I made a proclamation here, you started a discussion in parliament today and tomorrow we will discuss everything else.
Why did you avoid Pegasus?” Singhvi said.
“The government is not only hiding, they have many things to be hidden, they do not have an answer, they do not have the basis for not even having a discussion in parliament …
the government avoids discussions in parliament because they know that we will drop it,” he said.
On Thursday, Congress also held a meeting with his parliamentary groups in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, with Senior MPS Malikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Jairam Ramesh, Digvijaya Singh, KC Venugopal, Panish Tewari, Manickam Tagore, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Shashi Tharoor, Ambika Soni and K Suresh were present.
Kharge said the only opposition request was a discussion about Pegasus supervision in Parliament, before PM Narendra Modi and Interior Minister Amit Shah.
“Pegasus is being discussed in more than 50 countries.
What is being discussed, the minister at home must come home, discuss, give a reply to the question.
After that, it will be up to us to take further steps,” he said.
“We have taken the MPS view of the future strategy.
They want a discussion of Pegasus.
The Prime Minister and the presence of the Minister’s Seconds is needed during the discussion.
This problem comes under the Interior Ministry.
Probe on Pegasus is being carried out in other countries including France and Germany, rather than Why not in India, “Lop said.
