Jaipur: BJP Rajasthan on Saturday expels the senior leader and former Minister of Rohitash Sharma from a six-year-old party on charges of violations of discipline.
President BJP State Satish Poonia issued an order to expel Sharma from the party’s main membership.
Considered close to former Minister of Vasundhara Raje, Sharma issued a notification of the show last month to make an anti-party statement.
“Rohitash Sharma has been expelled from a party for six months because of a violation of party discipline,” said a BJP spokesman.
The former minister said that the country’s country leaders run the party sitting in their offices and not visit the village.
Sharma has held the party leaders of the party responsible for the results at the Bypolls held in three seats in May where the powerful Congress has two seats comfortably when BJP won the third.
