Jammu: The day after undergoing the notification of performances to the former Vikram legislator Randhawa for his comment on a particular community, J & K BJP moved it from all party posts, including the UT secretary, on Tuesday.
The move came after Randhawa, in viral videos on social media, allegedly found to make offensive comments about the community after Pakistan’s victory at the World Cup T-20 Cricket recently.
The party discipline committee has initiated the process of former MLC while police J & K have submitted forgery in this matter.
BJP’s UT Vice-President Sham Choudhary – Former Minister and Former MLA (Suchetetgarh) – will take over Randhawa’s role.
Notification of performances served on Monday have asked Randhawa to explain its position on this problem within 48 hours in addition to issuing public apologies.
He is also directed towards overcoming the media until the process ends.
President J & K BJP Ravinder Raina said Randhawa’s comments opposed the basic principles of the party who believed in respecting all religions.
“It cannot be accepted by the party and has brought (US) damaged and embarrassed.
Such behavior tends to equalize the party’s public image,” said Chairman of the Sunil Setyi disciplinary committee on Monday.
In May, Randhawa served similar notifications after he flatulated allegations of corruption towards Union Minister Jitendra Singh for the issue of mining policy, where he even threatened to sacrifice himself.
