Panaji: In a sharp reaction to the statement of Minister of Home Union Amit Shah that Goa will be made as a model of a model with “development of expectations” after the assembly selection of 2022, the congress on Friday questioned why BJP could not do it over the past decade.
Congress said that the development promised Shah will change the cave to a hub for criminal activities, coal transportation and drug trafficking.
“Goan is very aware of BJP’s mistakes and will never give BJP’s third opportunity.
Goa’s identity will be completely erased by destroying the environment and nature,” said Congress of President Girish Chodankar at a press conference at the party headquarters.
Congress also questioned why Shah did not talk about mine making, Covid death due to lack of oxygen, non-availability of internet connections for students and worrying debts of cave.
“The promise made by the Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah to convert cave into a state of model is another “Chodankar said.
Curorate Mla Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, who was present for press direction, BJP said responsible for a steep increase in fuel prices and increased inflation.
“If BJP has developed in the past nine years, there will be no need for Amit Shah to come to Goa asking for a voice,” Lourenco said.
Congress said BJP has allowed the Karnataka government to divert water from Mhadei’s water basins for political benefits.
“On behalf of development they will hand over the Goa River to the corporation such as Adani and Ambani.
They will forcibly start the Marina Project in Nauxim, manipulating the plan management of the coastal zone to pave the way for capitalists to take over the coastal goa and extend the port boundary,” Chodankar said .
