BJP hit in Lalithakala Academy in honor of the nation’s “insult” cartoon

Kochi: BJP on Saturday condemned Kerala Lalit’s decision when the academy to choose a cartoon, the Safron party was embarrassing the country, for a respectable mention.
Criticizing the Academy, Head of State BJP K Surendran said if those who hold responsible positions try to insult and embarrass their own country, those who love that country do not have to think twice to oppose it.
Academy a few days ago chose cartoons by Anoop Radhakrishnan to mention respectable.
Cartoons show representatives from various countries attending the Covid-19 medical Summit, where Indian representatives are described as a cow with orange shawl wrap it.
“Those who have power must take steps to examine such injustice or people must intervene to end it,” Surendran posted on social media.
The Chairman of the Nemom Pushparaj Academy said that it was a leading jury consisting of famous cartoonists who chose cartoons for awards.
“It is a leading jury, which has chosen cartoons and we do not have a role in it.
Previously, the academy had given awards for cartoons, who had criticized the minister of our chairman,” Pushparaj said.
Dinraj of Vaapad has won the 2019-20 state cartoon award which is institutionalized by the Academy for his cartoon titled ‘King and Maharaja’.
Radhakrishnan from Ponnurunni and Rathheesh Ravi of Perumanoor was chosen to mention honorable.
Each award brings Rs 25,000 and one quote.
Overall, 59 entries were accepted for awards and 32 were selected.
In 2019, a row broke out in Kerala over the academy respecting the cartoon which described Bishop Franco Mulakkal as a rooster and referred to the allegations of rape to it with the church, cursing it as vulgar and meaning the embarrassing of the Christian symbols.
