NEW DELHI: BJP leaders, like many Union ministers, reach out in West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday for bypassing an interview with PM Modi on cyclone Yaas, together with BJP president P Nadda accusing her of”murder of preexisting ethos and the culture of cooperative federalism”.
Union minister Amit Shah accused of placing”arrogance over public welfare”.
“This sort of behavior using the PM, that came in the country with a feeling of assisting people of Bengal at the period of tragedy, is debilitating.
That is an unfortunate illustration of maintaining political differences over general service and constitutional responsibilities, which hurts the fundamental soul of India’s national system,” said defence ministry Rajnath Singh.
Shah tweeted,”Mamata Didi’s behavior now is an unlucky non.
Cyclone Yaas has changed several common citizens and also the demand of the hour will be to help people affected.
Regrettably, Didi has set arrogance over public welfare and now’s petty conduct reflects that” Nadda said Modi retains the principle of cooperative federalism”quite sacred” and continues to be actively working together with CMs no matter the party affiliation to provide relief to individuals but he further added, Banerjee’s strategies and small politics have once more begun to haunt the inhabitants of Bengal.
“If PM Modi stands strong with all the taxpayers of West Bengal in wake of cyclone Yaas, Mamata ji must also set her apart ego to the sake of individuals,” he said.
Union minister Prakash Javadekar said her choice to bypass the meeting together with Modi marks a”black day” from India’s rich democratic tradition.
