Mumbai: BJP Legislator, under the leadership of Devendra Fadnivis, founded the “counter assembly” on the stairs Vidhan Bhavan here on Tuesday to hold an artificial session as a sign of protest against the suspension of 12 MLAS parties from home to be accused of bad behavior.
In the morning, some BJP legislators squatted on the legislative building stairs and shouted slogans against Uddhav Thackeray-Led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA-consisting of the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress government).
Fadnavis, who is an opposition leader in the Assembly, announced BJP MLA Kalidas Pondkar as “speaker from home (counter)” and proposed to hold a discussion.
The former minister’s chairman, when overcoming MLA, claimed 12 legislators were suspended based on false accusations.
“Today, I propose a resolution against this government here and I ask members to start a discussion about the proposal,” he said.
Fadniv said his party, MLA wants to talk to the function of “Tyranian government”.
“They want to expose this ‘vasoolol’ (government) and corrupt government,” he said.
Then, security officials stopped BJP members from using loudspeakers even when they shouted slogans against the government.
Fadnivi told reporters that the government could not stop BJP from raising his voice against “left-handed” from the powerful dispensation.
“Does the government impose an emergency?” He asked.
“This is a black chapter …
this is the killing of democracy,” the alleged BJP leader.
On Monday, 12 BJP MLA was suspended from the assembly for one year after the state government accused them of “bad behavior” with officers of the Jadhav Bhaskar chairman in the speaker room.
Fadniv has called the accusation wrong and said the story of the Jadhav event was “one side”.
