New Delhi: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday slams the Bharatiya Party in Ruling (BJP) and alleges that its income rose 50 percent in 2019-20 due to mass electoral bond contributions.

The leader of the Congress also distributed news reports, which cited the Association Report for Democrat Reform (ADR) which claimed that BJP’s revenue rose 50 percent in 2019-20, most donations came through election bonds.
Previously on Friday, ADR in his report said that between 2018-19 and 2019-20, BJP revenue increased by 50.34 percent (RS 1,213.20 Crores) from RS 2,410.08 Crores during the 2018-19 financial year to RS 3,623.28 Crore during the 2019-20 financial year.
Meanwhile, Congress revenues declined by 25.69 percent (RS 235.82 Crores) from RS 918.03 Crores during 2018-19 to RS 682.21 Crores during the 2019-20 financial year.
However, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) registered the highest increase in income.
“Between 2018-19 and 2019-20, the highest increase in revenue was stated by NCP 68.77 percent (RS 34,873 Crores) from Rs 50.71 Crores in 2018-19 to RS 85,583 crores during the 2019-20 financial year,” it said.
