Patna: BJP and JD (U), the main allies of NDA in Bihar, on Saturday reached a flat seat setting for the election that will come to the state legislative council of 24 local authority selection.
In accordance with the agreement, BJP will oppose 12 seats, JD (U) – 11 and Minister of Union Pashupati Kumar Paras-LED Party Rashtriya Lok Janshakti (RLJP) – one chair.
However, there were no chairs that were spared for two other NDA allies – former CM Jitan Ram Majhi-LED Hindustan Lay Morcha-Secular (HAM-S) and Mukesh Sahni-Leading Vikasheel Party Insaan (VIP) -Menggara had demanded two seats, from the total 24, Sahni four seats.
Seat distribution arrangements were announced by Senior BJP and JDU leaders at a joint press conference held specifically in local hotels, hours after they held a meeting with Bihar CM Nith Kumar at the last residence to give a final touch to the agreement.
.
Reveal the agreement to share seats, the Union Minister and Senior Leader BJP Bhupender Yadav said, “In accordance with the agreement between the two parties, BJP will get 13 seats out of a total of 24, while JD (U) -11.
But, BJP will regret one seat for RLJP PARAS -Led.
“Senior Leader JD (U) and Minister of Parliament State & Minister of Education Vijay Kumar Choudhary said when BJP told us that it had to set aside a seat for another ally (RLJP), JD (U) too agreed to take only 11 chair.
Previously, JD (U) had demanded 12 seats from BJP based on the 50:50 formula sharing chairs.
As requested by Bhupender Yadav, Choudhary then read the names of local authority constituencies given to different parties.
“12 seats allocated for BJP are Rohta, Aurangabad, Suggestions, Siwan, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Kishanganj, Kesanar, Saharsa, Gopalganj, Begusarai and Samastipur.
RLJP has been allocated sea vaishali from the BJP quota, said the leader” JD (U) Choudhary.
The remaining 11 seats allocated to JD (U) are Patna, Bhojpur, Style, Nalanda, Muzaffarpur, Champaran Barat, Sitaminhi, Bhagalpur, Munger, Nawada and Madhubani, Choudhary said.
Previously on that day, Minister of Union Yadav, accompanied by BJP President of the State of Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal and Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad reached the cm residence and held an hour of speaking length with Nitish to complete the division of seats between BJP and JD (U).
Choudhary is also present during the conversation with CM.
Just like a chair sharing agreement for the 2019 Lok Sabha’s poll when BJP sacrifices five seats to JD (U), the Safron Party on Saturday sacrificed one of the chairs of the sitting council for smaller allies in Bihar.
Susan Kumar Mahaseth BJP has won the Madhubani chair at the last council poll held in July 2015, but now the chair has been allocated to JD (U).
Except Madhubani, BJP saves all 12 chairs ‘sit’ others while completing the agreement with JD (U).
In the last election for 24 seats the board held in July 2015, BJP has won 11 seats, JD (U) five, RJD-Four, LJP -SE, Congress – one and independent – two seats.
But then, one of the MLC Kumar Ashok Independent Agarwal (Katihar) and the LONE MLC Singh Lone Mutan Party who joined BJP, took the total number of seats to 13.
Likewise, three MLC-Radha Charan Sah (BHOJPUR)), Dilip Rai ( Sitamarhi) and Sanjay Prasad (Muger) joined JD (U), took the number to eight.
MLC Congress Rajesh Ram (West Champaran) also joined JD (U) after the end of his term as MLC.
Thus, the total number called ‘sit’ from JD (U) rose to nine.
However, JD (U) got two chairs again than nine seat sitting – these two chairs were Madhubani and Patna, which was last won by the Ritlal Rai RJD.
Because it was asked that VIP has threatened to involve its candidates from 24 seats, if not allocated four seats, Choudhary said, “we will take all allies of NDA with confidence.” BJP leaders also said that they would take all allies of NDA with confidence before fighting the Board poll.
Reacting on the BJP-JD agreement (U), VIP spokesman Rajiv Mishra told TII on Saturday said, “When BJP and JD (U) said that they would take all allies with confidence, we will sit with BJP leaders and held talks.
“Reacted to the chair sharing agreement between BJP and JD (U), Danish Human Rights Spokesman Rizwan on Saturday said,” Even though we were disappointed with non-holding meetings with all the NDA allies before sharing a chair, we would not take steps Bad to destroy Bihar only for two board chairs.
We strongly believe that Bihar developed in all fields under the leadership of CM Nith Kumar.
