NEW DELHI: Seeking aid for investors and average guy reeling under fiscal challenges caused on by Covid-19 and lockdown, leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Friday requested the Delhi authorities to waive the power bills including fixed fees for three weeks — April to June.
The dealers and ordinary person suffered badly during Covid-19 next wave.
“Because of curfew, lockdown and other limitations in Delhi, the dealer community dropped nearly 3 months.
The Delhi government must embrace a sympathetic view towards both customers and subtract off power bills for 3 months.
Curfew was imposed in Delhi on April 6 and after that a lockdown was declared on April 19,” Bidhuri said in an declaration.
“Folks have some relief following the unlock procedure was set into activity but companies remain severely affected.
In general company was struck in the past 15 weeks.
Dealers are being requested to deposit fixed prices on power bills regardless of their stores and assumptions staying closed.
This is totally unjustified and contrary to all standards because stores, offices and other premises were shut throughout the lockdown time and power wasn’t utilized,” Bidhuri said.
Bidhuri said the frequent person and customers deserve relief as they’re also in poor fiscal shape.
The AAP authorities must send a proposition to DERC to fend off three weeks invoices.
