New Delhi: Digging on the Head of Minister of Arvind Kejriwal over the widespread water in Delhi after heavy rain on Saturday, the BJP Tajinder leader Bagga goes “rafting” on the road that is flooded and grateful to him because it makes it possible in “every corner and corner” from the city .
In a video posted on Twitter, National Secretary Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha asked Kejriwal to have a board placed on Delhi about his achievements.
The rain record hit many parts of Delhi on Saturday, causing water holes that affect operations at Delhi airport, disrupting traffic on the main roads and left passengers trapped in underpass vehicles.
The city recorded 117.9 mm rainfall from 5.30am to 2.30 pm.
In the video, Bagga was seen sitting on a rafting boat on the sinking road in the Bhajanpura Northeast Delhi area.
Cars, motorbikes and buses are seen navigating muddy water on the road.
“This season, I really want to go to Rishikesh for white water rafting but I can’t go because Coronavirus and repeat the lock.
I want to thank the chairman of Delhi Minister Arvind Kejriwal Ji because he has made arrangements for rafting in every corner and Delhi’s corner, “said BJP leader in the video.
“I urged Arvind Kejriwal Ji to put up a board about this throughout Delhi because he always did it,” he said.
Many Delhiits share images and videos on social media that show waterlogging in various parts of the city.
In other videos uploaded on Twitter, children are seen swimming on a very warm water near the McD Civic Center.
According to the authorities, 262 complaints of waterlogging were received by the Department of Public Works and Civil Institutions until Saturday afternoon (1.30pm).
Last month, Kejriwal had led a meeting to review Delhi drainage plans and said that the “world class” drainage system would be developed in the city to resolve waterlogging problems.
He has said that the changes needed, as suggested by IIT Delhi, will be made to improve the city drainage system and make it very easy.
