Nagpur: The leader of Maharashtra BJP Chitra Wagh on Friday demanded the dismissal of two Nagpur police officers accused of struggling by a man, who was then suspected of committing suicide because of insults.
Kin Mahesh Raut has claimed that he had contacted the police control room on Monday to complain about the mentally unhealthy person being attacked, but two police officers who came to investigate the incident, finally struggled after he did not take their calls.
Raut then ended his life later that night, which led to protest by his relatives, after the police institutionalized inquiry.
Wagh also met with relatives of a woman who was raped on Friday after being picked up from the Mayo Hospital here, a pine registered by the police only on Sunday, at that time accusing it to escape.
He said he met the Nagpur police commissioner and asked him to take strict action in these two cases and also to ensure crime stored in check-in in the largest city of Vidarbha’a.
