BJP MLA claims fraud in the number of BMC potholes

Mumbai: Maharashtra BJP MLA Ashish Shelar on Monday attacked Mumbai Civic Body and Shiv Sena who ruled on the streets ridden by Pothole in the city and accused the “big fraud” in the amount spent to fill the hole.
Overcoming a press conference, Shelar said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) web portal said there were only 927 holes on a 2,000 km long road in Mumbai.
“If it’s the problem, it’s ridiculous that BMC allocates Rs 48 Crore to fill 927 this hole,” he added.
Shelar also asked questions about the amount spent to fill the hole in the streets of the city.
“This looks suspicious.
It looks like a big fraud behind this.
Investigation is ongoing and immediately truth will come out,” Shelar said.
Taking excavation in Mumbai Mayor and Shiv Sena Leader Kishori Pednekar, Shelar questioned whether he was aware of geographical facts about the city.
“Has he ever seen the entire city map for development purposes?” Shelar asked.
While taking potshots in Shiv Sena and BMC for the 3-D mapping of the Worli area, Shelar said that from the beauty of the path to establish a covid-19 center and for the installation of drainage pipes, everything was done in Worli and Kala Nagar Area.
Worli is a constituency of Shiv Sena MLA assembly and Cabinet Minister Aaditya Thackeray, son of Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
‘Matoshree’, a personal residence of Thackernays, located in Kalanagar colony on the outskirts of Bandra.
“Does Mumbai be outside Worli and when Nagar or not?” Shelar asked.
Last week, BMC had completed 3-dimensional mapping from Ward G-South which included Worli.
Shelar also targets the Minister of Health of Rajesh for a failure to conduct an examination to fill vacancies in the Ministry of Health.
The exam, which should be held on Saturday and Sunday, was suspended at the last minute after a private company contracted to do they declared his inability.
Saying that the Tope’s apology is not enough to end this problem, Shelan demands CM intervention vis-a-vis to the Department of Health.
“How do some merchant traders get a request letter first? How can it be a paper that reaches people like that? How could the police not realize it? Isn’t this abuse of power? Because it apologizes (Tope) is not enough,” Shelar said.
