Nagpur: The police have ordered Nagpur Mla Krishna Khopde Timur to violate the guidelines related to Covid-19’s house isolation.
Police Lakadganj has added a part in the case of Khopde in accordance with the direction of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.
“Section 269 IPC has been added to the case listed against Khopde before.
Also, section 2, 3 and 4 of Epidemic ACT-1897 and 51 (b) national disaster management laws have been added,” Top Toi Police said.
On January 13, Khopde has revealed on the social media he has positively tested.
According to the central guideline, he should be in house isolation for seven days – until January 19.
However, the day before, Khopde met a large number of people, BJP party workers and led nervously along with French City BJP Pravin Datke.
He also met police at Lakadganj.
On the same day, the police lakadganj registered a violation of Khopde and others for violating part 144 of the appropriate CPC and Covid behavior.
He and others were ordered under Section 188 (disobedience to order to be promulgated by civil servants), 270 (anyone who ferociously took action that and he knew or had a reason to be, the possibility of spreading infection in every disease that was dangerous for life ) IPC and Section 135 (violating the coating command) from the Maharashtra police law.
Khopde was not ordered to violate the guidelines related to Covid’s house isolation.
The police sent a letter to NMC which was looking for details.
On January 19, Khopde was part of the BJP delegation that filed a memorandum to CP in his office.
The following day, the Adult Municipal Commissioner NMC Ram Joshi wrote to the Lakadanj Police Station which confirmed the violation of the guidelines by Khopde.
Joshi also sent a Covid test report about Khopde and Mohfw guidelines on house isolation.
He asked the police to take further action.
After taking legal advice, Kumar reportedly directed the Lakadganj police to add part in the case only to Khopde for violating home isolation guidelines.
NMC has not collected a fine of RS 5,000 in Khopde and also does not place it under institutional isolation according to its own norms.
