Kanpur: Party Bharatiya Janata (BJP) MLA from BilaHaur, Bhagwati Prasad Sagar, who resigned from a party on Tuesday, has said that he has joined BJP in 2017 with a lot of hope but stopped after failing to meet people’s expectations.
“I have joined BJP with a lot of hope.
But when I feel that during the current regime, I failed to meet the expectations of the community, I decided to resign from a party,” Sagar said when talking to Ti by telephone on Tuesday night.
However, he said that he would not form a new party.
“How many people have resigned (from BJP), this list will come soon in front of everyone and where they (including sagar) will join, it will also be known soon,” said Sagar further.
Sagar began his political journey with the Bahujan Summoned Party (BSP) and won the assembly selection of BIRHAUR seats with BJP tickets.
“I have now left the party immediately after the state assembly poll bundle was heard,” he added.
He further said that “he is currently at the position of Lucknow the Minister of Cabinet State of Swami Prasad Marya, who has also stopped BJP, and will immediately notify everyone about the next strategy”.
Overall from Kanpur Dehat, Sagar was born on May 28, 1955 and made graduation and LLB.
He has started his political journey from BSP and became MLA three times and minister twice.
In 1996, Sagar had opposed the BILHAUR assembly seat on BSP tickets and became MLA by beating Beria Shivkumar from SP.
