Chandigarh: The windshield of the BJP Car Ram Chander Jangra was destroyed after several criminals allegedly threw Lathis on the vehicle during the protest by farmers for his visit to the district of Hisar Haryana on Friday.
However, no one was injured in the incident described by the Minister as a “clear murder effort”.
Farmers who protested three agricultural laws at the center imposed last year have opposed the ruling leader programs Haryana and the JANNAYAK JANTA party.
A group of protesters carrying a black flag blocked the Jangra route in Narnaund Hisar, according to the police.
Then, the road was cleaned, allowing Rajya Sabha MP to continue, police said.
Jangra said police officials told him that two people had been arrested in connection with the incident.
“After concluding my program, I was on his way to attend another function when some crimes threw Lathis in my car, leaving it broken.
No one was hurt,” Jangra told reporters.
He sat in the back seat of the car.
“I talked to Haryana DGP and SP about this incident.
I have demanded a tight sentence according to the law against the culprit.
This is a clear murder effort,” MP said.
“I will attend two more programs in Narwana and Uchana.
When my car was broken, I had to cancel a visit,” Jangra said.
“I attend social functions.
It’s not a political function.
Do they (farmers) also oppose social functions?” He asked.
Hundreds of farmers camping on the border of Delhi since November last year demanded that the government revoke the laws of three Agri Laws – farmers to produce trade and facilitation (promotion and facilitation), 2020; Farmer Agreement (Empowerment and Protection) on the Price Guarantee Act and Agriculture, 2020; And important commodity (amendment), 2020.
They claim that this law will leave them at the mercy of the corporation.
They also demand new laws to guarantee minimum support prices (MSP) for their plants.
The center, which has held 11 rounds of talks with farmers to break the deadlock, has stated that new laws are pro-farmers.
