Agra: BJP MP from Mathura and Bollywood actress Hema Malini has expressed sadness over the death of the veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar.
Hema titled February 6 Dark Day for the entire film industry.
“His voice is incomparable,” MP said, added that it was difficult for anyone to match its level.
“He is very special.
Not only his singing, his voice is very sweet when speaking too,” he said, adding that his death had created a vacuum in the music industry.
Hema said that he was blessed that Lata Ji Sang was for him.
He remembers some of the songs sung by Nightingale for him – “mere naseeb me tu hai ki nahi” from the film nahebei and super hit sholay song – “Jaba don’t hai jaan ..” and kinara movie song – “Naam Gum -” Naam Gum Jayega ” .
She tweeted, “February 6 is a dark day for us – a legend which has given us a treasure trove lilting tunes, the nightingale of India, Lataji, has left us to continue the divine music in heaven.
This is a personal loss for me as our love and admiration of each other is mutual benefit, “Hema added.
