New Delhi: One-UpdMiphip Chhath Celebration involving the powerful AAP and BJP opposition intensified on Sunday with the Saffron MP Party Parvesh Verma stated to oppose the ban on celebrating the Festival at the Yamuna Bank and challenged the Head of the Kejriawan to stop it if she could stop it.
Meanwhile, several legislators AAM AAM AADMI (AAP) held a protest that accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stopped them from preparing Chhath Ghat in Dwarka.
Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has banned Chhath Puja on the edge of Yamuna this year.
The leaders of AAP and BJP have been involved in the war-words against Chhat for the past few days.
The festival assumes the political significance as Purvanchalis (indigenous Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar) who settled in Delhi and celebrating the festival is a large bank in the city.
Verma, MP BJP from West Delhi, accused that the kejriwal has “forbid” the Chhath celebration in Yamuna Ghats, which is “unacceptable”.
“I will be accompanied by Purvanchali Brothers and Sisters and we will clean Chhath Ghat in Ito and start puja.
I challenged Arvind KeRriwal to stop us if he could,” Verma said.
Meanwhile, Aap Mlaas Sanjeev Jha and Vinay Mishra, who protested in Dwarka demanded that Chhath Ghat be built there, alleged that BJP tried to inhibit Chhat Puja in the city.
“BJP in many places in Delhi stopped Purvanchalis from preparing Chhath Ghats to prevent Chhath Puja.
Aap MLA and volunteers have advanced to build Chhath Ghat in Dwarka in response to this,” Tweeted Jha which is AAP legislator from Burari.
.
Tussle between AAP and BJP begins with the order of September 30 DDMA which prohibits Chhath celebrations in public places this year because of Covid-19.
Delhi BJP leaders, including MP Northeast Manoj Tiwari, launched agitation of orders and claimed that the central school government was responsible for the ban.
Tiwari even released ‘Rath Yatra’ in the Purvanchali area in a population in the city to put pressure on the Delhi government to raise the ban.
Kejriwal, who previously supported the ban in public places remembering the safety of people, writing a letter to Lieutenant Governor of Baijal in October to allow the Puja Chhath in Delhi.
DDMA has last week allows Chhath celebrations on “designated sites” not including Yamuna Bank in Delhi in a meeting attended by Baijal and Kejriwal while the Delhi government stated November 10 November at the Chhath Festival.
Chhath, celebrated after being diwali by people who belong to Bihar and Timur Uttar Pradesh, involves an ‘Arghya’ offer by fasting women to God deeply.
This involves complicated rituals that stretch for three days.
