Kolkata: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday said that BJP MPS Arjun Singh and Soumitra Khan had urged him to facilitate the “thorough investigation” into the purchase and installation of CCTV cameras by the State Election Commission (SEC) for Kolkata who had just been concluded.

BJP State has accused intimidation of candidates and workers and election malpractices by ruling TMC supporters during civil elections December 19.
“MPS @arjunsinghwb @Khansaumitra urged WB Governor Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar for a thorough inquiry in the purchase and installation of CCTVs with the State Election Commission who accused that because this #KMC selection was compromised @acrafficial and Calcutta tweeted,” Dhankhar tweeted.
The High Court has directed the SEC to provide CCTV cameras in all polling and strong spaces where EVMS December 19 is stored.
Two members of the BJP parliament met Dhankhar in Delhi on Wednesday.
