Kolkata: Congress Trinamool Birbhum District President Anubrata Mandal on Friday was summoned by the CBI in connection with the alleged murder of Gaurav Sarkar, a BJP supporter, in Gopalnagar Village in Birbhum.
The source close to the mandal shows that he has quoted a disease as an excuse not to appear before the Central Investigation Agency.
Mandal was asked to appear before the agency unit office in Ilandazar.
Mandal reportedly said that he was not healthy.
He previously missed the CBI call in the case of illegal coal mining, citing a disease.
Sarkar was allegedly attacked by a group of Trinamool Congress workers on May 2, the results of the election results were announced.

Two accused people, Rabbi Base and Lagai Hansda, were arrested by the agency later.
