Ballia: In the midst of BJP’s sharp attack on the head of the Jamajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav for his genie comment, Senior SP leader Narad Rai said the Safron Party had to ask the founder member L why he went to offer ‘Chadar’ at the tomb of Jinnah in Pakistan.
Talking to reporters on Sunday, Rai asked the Minister of Parliament Affairs Uttar Pradesh Anand Swaroop Shukla, who had made serious charges against Yadav for this problem, that he had to first read his party’s history.
“Given the contribution of Muhammad Ali Jinnah against the freedom movement, the BJP leader L K Advani has offered ‘Chadar’ in his grave and paid tribute to him,” Rai said, adding that the SP head contributed to this.
He apparently referred to the Advani trip to Pakistan in 2005 where BJP leaders praised the founders of neighboring countries, triggering criticism from within his own party.
Yadav has kicked a recent line when he equalized Jinnah with Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Jawaharlal Nehru and said they helped India get freedom, even when Shukla suggested Narco tests to “glorify” Pakistani leaders.
“Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and (Muhammad Ali) Jinnah studied at the same institute and became a line.
They helped (India) get freedom and never resign from the struggle,” he said on October 31.
Has accused the President of the Jamajwadi Party to enjoy the protection of Pakistani Spy’s body, Inter-Services Intelligence (fill) and said he could even go for religious conversion to calm Muslims.
SP leader considering that complaints have been submitted with the police on Shukla’s statement against Yadav.
“Shukla made an indecent statement against Akhilesh Yadav and a case of incitement must be registered with the minister,” he added.
