BJP opposed the plan to give the park name after deception

Written by news2in

Mumbai: BJP opposed the proposal submitted at the City Committee meeting to refer to the park at Govandi Mumbai after the deception of the sultan on Thursday.
BJP members said the deception was responsible for the forced conversion of Hindus, among other atrocities, and demanded the garden named after Maulana Azad or 1965 Hero of Indo-Pak Havildar Abdul Hamid.
In a letter sent to the Chairman of the Civic Garden and the Market Committee, the Corporator who was nominated by Bhalchandra Shirsat from BJP said the party did not oppose the Muslim name but the deception of the Sultan only opposed Britain for his personal benefit.
“How can the civic garden be named after the ruler hanging hundreds of Hindus, destroying thousands of temples, changing Hindus and oppressing women? Shiv Sena, by not allowing our party members to speak, indirectly showcase their support on the proposal, apparently,” Shirsat said.
Local Corporator Rukhsana Siddique from the Samajwadi Party has proposed the name of the Sultan for the park.
Siddique said the deception of the sultan was referred to as a Mysore tiger.
BJP members even broke into the Mayor of Kishori Pednekar in the afternoon.
They were told that there was no decision taken
