BJP pips cug by one vote to power on the gadag board

Gadag: After the 14-year-old gap, BJP managed to seize power in the Gadag-Betteri City Council (GBCMC) on Monday, with the basic Mahesh Party Safron Party elected as president of the local body of urban bodies, with Sunana Prakash will be selected as vice president.
Although BJP has succeeded in getting a simple majority in the recent election to GBCMC, winning 18 out of 35 seats in the local body, claiming claims of power proved difficult tasks for the Safron Party.
Congress, who won 15 seats, managed to register the support of two members of the rebel board, which had been contested independently to help consolidate his position.
Although the Saffron Party even tried to have three MLCs and a MP Rajya Sabha from other districts to change the battle for the position of President and Vice President to be a mere formality, the election commission foiled its plan, by agreeing to consider the application of MLC Congress and Sabha MP after the selection concluded.
Laxman Chandavari and Shakuntala Akki from Congress submitted their respective nominations for the position of President and Vice President GBCMC.
The supporters of the two parties began to double the reason for GBCMC since Monday, and the atmosphere in the place resembled the battlefield on the night of the war.
When the former Minister and Congress MLA HK Patil arrived at GBCMC, BJP supporters raised slogans for their leaders such as Patil CC.
Congress workers retaliated with slogan songs praising their leaders to welcome legislators and BJP ministers.
Before the election was running, BJP officials were annoying, in interaction with the media, accusing Congress using unethical facilities to achieve power in the board.
Usha Mahesh Basics and Sunana Prakash Dasale both secured 19 votes, with the BJP Haveri MP Shivakumar UDasi giving a decisive voice – Congress candidate pocketed 18 votes, including the sound thrown by two independent, and MLA HK Patil.
The results were announced by the Assistant Commissioner Rayappa Hunasagi.
However, HK Patil, the allegation that the election has not been carried out in a transparent way, adds to the Congress will take legal routes to challenge the results.
