Bhubaneswar: Based on the attack from the opposition quarter over the death of a female school teacher in the Ladyandi Regency, BJD who came to power on Saturday about BJP conducted “small politics” for crimes against women.
Overcoming the news conference here, a BJD spokesman and members of Rajya Sabha, Sasmit Patra, and teen wing leaders, Elina Dash, said “The single purpose of BJP is to use vile crimes for women for political benefits”.
Patra said the Safron party “did it when the election was around”.
“Opposition parties, especially BJP, have used women’s problems for their narrow political interests.
BJP leaders also have no sympathy or concern for their victims and their families.
They did not even bother giving justice for the victims.” Said Patra.
Quoting the details of two cases – the death of Itishree Pradhan in Tikri in Raya in 2013 and the case of Rape Gang Kunduli in 2017, Patra said in the case of itiskrest, the CBI investigation has the findings of criminal crime.
“In the case of Kunduli, even though the opposition parties formed a fact search team to ensure the truth, none of them submitted a written statement when the Demand Commissioner was revealed by the state government, requested a written statement for witnesses and evidence,” he added.
“Why do the opposition parties, especially BJP, submitted a written statement in this case? What is found by the Fact Finding Team?” Patra asked.
Accusing BJP pampering themselves in falsehood and politicizing sensitive cases, the BJD parliament said the regional party would “expose falsehood and shameless politicization of sensitive things by opposition parties before Odisha people”.
He added that “inhumane to framilize victims and their families for a greater level of political and conspiracy to slander Odisha and its people at the national level”.
